Integrity Oncology’s Latest Move Actually Is a Return Home

MEMPHIS, Tennessee—Integrity Oncology will open its new Collierville location at 1936 West Poplar on April 12 and, at the same time, close its facility at 400 Market Boulevard.

While it is a new address for Integrity Oncology, the West Poplar location is a familiar one to the three physicians who founded the practice, as well as numerous members of the staff. The historic facility, which is about 100-years-old and sits on 3.5 acres between Houston Levee and Bailey Station, originally was a residence.

It was purchased by Dr. Earle Weeks and Dr. Suhail M. Obaji in 2003, six years after the Family Cancer Center was founded. After purchasing the home, the practice added a 10,000-square-foot research facility.

The structure was large enough to house all the things necessary for an ultra-modern health care facility and at the same time offer a less sterile, more friendly and relaxing feel that both patients and staff would appreciate.

When Dr. Weeks, Dr. Obaji and Dr. Margaret Gore left the Family Cancer Center to establish Integrity Oncology, last September, the three physicians were hopeful the new practice would be able to retain the facility on West Poplar. It took about seven months to finalize that agreement.

Integrity Oncology will offer extended hours at the West Poplar location twice a week – from 8 am to 9 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. The extended hours are designed to offer patients more flexible treatment times.

“We realize patients who have full-time jobs or who depend on others for transportation or assistance will benefit from our remaining open longer,” Dr. Weeks said. “We want to provide scheduling options that offer greater flexibility and convenience in the lives of patients and their families.”

Integrity Oncology has three other locations in the Memphis area:

• Memphis: 6286 Briarcrest Avenue, Suite 308. Drs. Gore, Weeks and Obaji see patients at this location.
• Union City: 1012 South Miles Avenue. Dr. Gore sees patients at this location.
• West Memphis: 271 West Polk. Dr. Obaji sees patients at this location.
